Voice recording software suggestions / costs  [7/2/2008 09:16:58]

Hi Everyone,

First post, I've just come across the forum while looking for voice recording solutions.

We have a 200 seat IPCC call centre, which I've been asked to spec voice recording software for. Unfortunately I've been asked to stay away from our resellers for the moment to try to get an unbiased idea of cost.

Anyone that has rollout out such a package, if you could give me an approximate idea of how much per desk it cost, it would be a huge help. Obviously observations on the package itself, and how well it worked with IPCC, would be very welcome too. If you had particular problems with bandwidth or storage, or something else that completely blindsided you, I'd be interested to hear too.

Considering the relatively small range of actual call centre call handling packages available, there seems to be a bewildering array of recording solutions on the market.

Thanks in advance all.

Quick & Cheap  [7/2/2008 10:36:41]

I have used Veritape in the past for quick and cheap recording. I am not sure if there are any IPCC specific recording systems that would be better. As a general note, it is not the recording that is the issue, it is finding specific calls afterwards. Make sure whatever system you go for has the ability to find the call that you need to review quickly and easily.
