Starting a Call Center Operation  [31/12/2007 09:12:31]

Hi Guys,

I am responsible for starting a new call center operation. If anyone could let me know what are the possible cost elements except for the normal manpower and infrastructure costs, it would be great.
I am specifically looking for the IT and telecom costs, details would be most welcome

thanks

Hello Andrew,  [31/12/2007 16:40:20]

This question comes around every so often Andrew and unfortunately it's a very difficult one to answer. It's similar to asking "how long is a piece of string?".

Without a clear concept of your requirements (CTI? VoIP? WFM? # of seats?, Call Routing software?) any number someone toss's out could lead you down the wrong path.

Your best route may be to contact someone locally who can discuss this with you, or visit other call centre sites if you haven't before until you get an idea of what you need.
