Avaya IP Agent (quick mute?)

Avaya IP Agent (quick mute?) [2/8/2007 19:15:15]
We several agents who are using the plantronics DA40 usb adapter in conjunction with Avaya IP Agent. The problem is they lack a mute button in this scenario, the mute option within Avaya IP Agent isn't really easy to get to. Are you aware of any options to circumvent this and allow a quick and easy mute?

Justin, In a previous centre we used plantronic boxes, to get Mute ability our agents had it built in to the headset cable. There was a button that when held would mute the mike, I don't know if there is a soft option for your requirement

Thanks scott, I am primarily looking for a software solution. Something that would simplify it beyond Audio > Volume > Mute to just "mute".

With the loot you might dump into a software solution, it might just be cheaper to invest in hard phones with mute buttons.
