Architect and circus ringmaster seeks job in unusual fashion...  [1/2/2005 19:44:41]

Hi folks.

I'm going to break the no-ads rule here, but that's okay 'cause it's me ;-)

I'm looking for a new day job. As many of you will know, CallCentreVoice is a kind of cottage-industry site - run, as it were, in my spare time and with the help of a few great people. However, since it doesn't bring in enough revenue to allow me to sustain the wife, mortgage and finer things in life, I need to toe the line and do a day job.

Obviously word-of-mouth is the best way to find a good job. I'm keen to find a small- to medium-sized organisation which is looking for someone like me to work on and/or organise technical projects. I'm located in central Scotland, and my situation ties me here, so teleworking is something I would happily consider - this means that I am open to all suggestions.

You are well aware of my work - this site was written entirely from scratch by me and refined over the period of a few years, so I offer that as a demonstration of my abilities in both designing, developing and delivering a medium-sized interactive system. Other things I've been involved with include responsibility for key technical infrastructure developments within the Scottish Parliament, senior technical lead roles within two large Scottish Banks (not at the same time, of course) and many other roles.

If any of this strikes you as the sort of person who might work well for your organisation, and you're willing to put up with my 'cottage-industry' (which pretty much takes care of itself), and you're willing to consider a non-conformist, free-thinking alternative to the average corporate drone, then I 'd love to hear from you. You can contact me here, and I'll send a full CV and more details.

I know this is an unusual way to seek a job, but I pride myself in what I have achieved yet I must also eat, pay bills and keep Mrs. C. marinaded in her favourite plonk ;-)

Thanks for reading this,

John
