New job for Justin  [8/3/2007 22:24:07]

I thought everyone out in CCV land would appreciate an update from their favourite moderator (you know it's true).

This Monday I left a large financial company I have been working for the last two years and accepted a new position with a very large retail company. This will require me to relocate from Winnipeg, Canada to Edmonton, Canada, about 1500km. Quite the life change!

The new position will be "Senior Telecommunications Technologist". I am looking forward to my new role with enthusiasm. It is using some systems I am familiar with, and some I am not that will require some learning on my part.

Everyone have a good weekend out there!

Humm....................  [9/3/2007 09:12:35]

Ok Justin,

We understand you're excited so we'll let the comment go :-)

Well done.

Good luck.

Big move eh?

How did you manage to leave so fast?
Was it just a 1 week notice period or did you do
something interesting to get removed from the building?

i) Tinfoil hat?

ii) Made inappropriate advances to the security guard?

Anyone else got any suggeastions?

I'm perpared to offer a small prize (A signed photo of Justin)
to the best suggestion. Come on you all know how much this would
be worth on E-Bay.

Obviously the signed photo's of myself are worth more, Darryl has
,of course, a serious negative value now, due to his grinning mugshot
appearing in each copy of CCF. [1] Photo's of John are non existent
or closely guarded in a bunker somewhere in the wilds of Scotland.

Have fun, it's Friday.

Regards

DaveA

[1] Ok, who haven't I insulted yet?

I also appear in a slightly different form inside the back cover of this months CCV. I'll post a copy when I can find one.

I have photos of John and will sell, although as Dave suggests they're as rare as hens teeth and therefore likely to be out of everyone's price range.

I hear that pics of AMS where she's not accepting an award are quite hard to come by?

Seriously though...congratulations Justin. I hope the new job still leaves you with time for CCV.

I gave them the full two weeks notice and offered them a support contract once I was gone, they didn't take me up on the support contract but I did get a barrage of E-mails once I had left, alas, they will remain unresponded to for the most part.

It's only my second day on the new job but I enjoy it quite a bit, I have my own door which in this cube filled world has always been a dream of mine :)

I suspect you will all see an abundant amount of questions coming from me concerning Witness/Nice, Avaya, etc over the coming weeks. I expect prompt and accurate answers to ensure I am able to continue living.

ps: Nothing too fun :)
