Urgent Help Needed!! Contact Centre management assessment  [4/11/2007 16:13:41]

Hi there,
I am currenty work for a very large Telecommunications company and am a team member in the Network Planning Team. I basically deal with all the call routing aspects, IVR Builds, linkline routing etc etc.

I am facing the possible chance of being promoted, however, have to attend a management assessment on Wednesday in which I have to present a presentation detailing what my 30/60/90 day plan would be if I was appointed a management post in either Contact Delivery (Customer experience, IVR design etc) or in the resource management team.

I need some guidance as my requirements are quite vague and I am stuck for ideas, I will appreciate all feedback.

Here is some textbook stuff Arron:

1.Take charge effectively
2.Make the mental break from your previous role
3.Accelerate your own learning
4.Diagnose the current situation to develop the right strategy
5.Secure some early wins
6.Build a productive working relationship with your new boss
7.Identify the root causes of poor performance
8.Align strategy, structure,systems, skills and culture
9.Build your team
10.Create your network/coalitions
11.Keep yourself balanced (don't get carried away)
12.Use your new framework to accelerate team development.

Thanks for your response.

Just to demonstate just how vague my requirements are I will paste them below

"If you are appointed into a managerial role within one of the following functions what would be your 30, 60 and 90 day plan.

Choose your presentation from one of the following functions - National Resource Centre, Contact Delivery"

I am able to pin point various bullet points which I am aware are required to be successful as you have provided in your reply, however, am having difficulty putting this into a concise plan as described in the requirements. Again, all feedback would be greatly appreciated.
