2007 UK Call/Contact Centre Awards  [12/1/2007 09:04:05]

Those of you based in the UK may like to know that the Call Centre Management Association are beginning their search for the Call Centre Manager, Team Manager and Support Manager of the Year 2007.

Sponsored by Call Centre Technology,Catalyst and Plantronics the CCMA Call Centre Manager of the Year Awards, now in their twelfth year, aim to endorse best practice, reward innovation and promote excellence within the contact and call centre industry. These prestigious awards recognise outstanding performance by managers and supervisors of contact centres, helpdesks and customer service organisations throughout the UK.

Why should I enter the 2007 CCMA Awards?

Your reason for entering an awards scheme must surely be to win, however you may also gain success and publicity from being short-listed for an award. Gaining recognition for yourself and your company will have a positive impact on the morale of all involved and on your organisation as a whole. It can also help to give you a positive business advantage over your competitors. The publicity, if you are successful, can be extensive and far-reaching. You and your company might be particularly proud of its business practices or its recent performance. You may have successfully completed a specific call centre or customer service project that has had a significant impact on your company, your clients or your local community. You may have achieved outstanding results, launched a new product or achieved spectacular results with an existing product.

For whatever reason, if you have a story to tell, no harm will come to you if you decide to enter. Success breeds success, and the CCMA awards will be linked to the most relevant industry press and receive editorial and advertising coverage as a result. If you win or become a finalist, your industry, your competitors and your customers will all hear about your success. In addition you will be able to promote your achievements to your clients and internally, giving you a competitive edge and boosting the moral of the people who work within your organisation.

:)  [9/3/2007 19:03:15]

I don't apply just because I think it would be akward if a Canadian won all the awards.

I do think this is a great concept though and really encourage everyone to seriously fill it in.

Can you nominate someone else?

Canadians rule OK?  [10/3/2007 08:15:50]

Glad to hear that you guys are still sweeping the contact centre awards board clean! I have met some great Canadian winners at the annual US awards event over the years so I know that the Canadian call centre industry is right up there with the best..........

Its fine to nominate other people for the Awards Justin - just make sure that they are OK to be nominated before you do!

Every success with your new job (and home move!)

Deadline extended to Monday 23rd March 2007  [15/3/2007 13:41:01]

We want to ensure that all of the quality work produced over the last year is recognised and that the very best pick up the trophies.

So, following a number of requests, we have agreed to extend the deadline until 23rd March 2007 - so if you have completed your entries already, you now have more time to complete additional quality entries, and if you have not had the time to meet the deadline to date, you now have the extra time to put yourselves forward.

There is nothing worse than checking out the list of winners and knowing that if you had found the time to enter, that it could and should have been you instead.

So no regrets ... simply complete the entry form on the Call Centre Management Association website and return with your full entry by 23rd March 2007 - go to : www.ccma.org.uk and download the entry form, complete and return by the deadline.
