Hi,
I have over 5 years of experience in call center management in Canada and am looking into migrating to UK. If I apply for call center jobs in UK from Canada, what would be my prospects for getting a job/interview in UK, keeping in consideration the work permit requirement in UK.

I cannot give up my job in Toronto, Canada and travel to UK. My only option is to send resumes to UK companies. So far, I haven't had any luck.
Any comments/suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Hi Imran,

Its hard to obtain work and get an interview unless you have the visa and are in the country. UK employers on the whole look for the 'safe bet'- thats your sticking point. I'd recommend doing a recce first, coming over meeting some companies - without any job in mind just to gain a feel for the market. Then get the visa sorted arrive and start applying. I'm facing a similar problem seeking working in the US, having sought advice thats what I was recommended.
Alternatively exploit the Candian connection seeking out canadian companies and products or travel orientated call centres - try the Candadian Embassy in the UK for leads/advice. Good luck.
