Hi All,

Just wanted to ask if anybody attending this event at New York at the BRITISH CONSULATE on December 8 , 2003

I'm going on Monday so if anyone fancies meeting up for a drink!

Where: British Consulate General, 845 3rd Avenue, New York, NY

Panel Discussion, Q&A with Open Forum. Followed by cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.

PLUS A Panel Discussion On
"Global Offshoring - What Are The Issues, Risks, and Rewards?"

This program will include four brief presentations, followed by extensive Q&A:

Ricky Surie, ContactCenters Inc. "Strategic Approaches to Offshoring" The CEO of this BPO/CRM consultancy and project management firm will discuss strategies from both users' and vendors' perspectives.

John Cielazewicz, AIG Insurance. "Criteria for Migrating Diverse Back Office Activities" As Vice President, Global Operations, for the AIU subsidiary, Mr. Cielazewicz will talk about the review and consolidation of back office activities in 138 countries by America's largest insurance company.

Jim Schacht, Cendant Corporation. "Outsourcing vs. In-House" This $19 billion real estate/travel distribution services company is actively considering setting up pilot call center programs in Mexico, the Philippines, and Jamaica. Mr. Schacht, Senior Vice President, Contact Center Operations, will discuss the decision process in outsourcing these programs.

Sharron Melamed, Prestige International. "Risks and Opportunities in New Locations" With contact centers on 4 continents covering 15 languages, Prestige's Senior Vice President, Global CRM Solutions, will talk about the newest locations being considered for offshoring, such as Israel and China.

Moderator: Dennis Smith, PacTac Advisors Inc. Having worked with call center and BPO site selection decisions in India, the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, Barbados, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Germany, Mr. Smith, President of PacTac, will work to make sure the program gives a truly global overview on the issues, risks, and rewards of global offshoring.


I assume today is the last day for registrations but in case anybody wants to register or has already registered it seems a good time and opportunity toi meet up.
