Erlang for Excel 2007  [29/7/2008 17:08:36]

Graham

The Excel97 version (erlang97.zip) works in Excel 2007. There has been little change in the VBA format since XL97.

The default location for the Add-In file is
C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Application Data\Microsoft\AddIns\ErlangXL97.xla

#VALUE  [30/7/2008 10:13:21]

Graham.

Use the Auditing tool bar.

There's a 'Trace Error' function that will
tell you which cell is driving the error.

If that doesn't work the 'Trace Precedents'
function *SHOULD* help.

Erlang C with Excel 2007  [30/7/2008 10:23:15]

Hi

Thanks for your help but it says that the error is with the formula

The formula is...=ElgCFracAgts(E6,D6,B6*60*60,F6,G6)

E6 = AHT - 240
D6 = Call Volume in Month - 30,000
B6 = Hour Open in Month - 88
F6 = Service Level % - 90
G6 = Service Level Secs - 20

This returns the #VALUE!...ggggrrr

Graham,

Did you run it as an install or
copy it as a User defined function?

Ah ha....  [30/7/2008 11:45:39]

Go to.

TOOLS -> ADD IN's

Then browse for the XLA file.

Select OK, that should work!

FYI,

If you send any document that uses erlang to someone who does not have it installed on their PC, it will show lost of error references if they update.

You can protect against this if you need by actually adding the erlang code to the specific document, but I would recommend using hard coded values for any exported data

Graham

With Excel 2007 to enable the Add-in you need to click the Office button in the top left-hand corner of the window.
Then choose Excel Options.
Next select Add-Ins from the left side options.
Select Excel Add-Ins in the drop-down and click GO.
Tick the box next to Erlang for Excel (if not shown you may have to use the Browse button to find it).

What's the formula  [31/7/2008 11:29:49]

Hi Graham

What is the ElgCFracAgts formula, never seen it before? Didn't know that a formula existed in the add-in that could predict agent requirement based on the hours open per month and calls per month.
