Avaya CMS historical data, real time data sent to server  [14/4/2008 15:54:59]

Hello,

I have gotten a urgent request from a client, they want me to change the
path of the data from CMS (Avaya CMS Supervisor 13.0) sending it to a new server
(this is not a backup issue) but real time data sent to call centers.

Current situation :
Historical data > VDSERVER01 (ip address)
Real Time data > VDREALTIME01 (ip address)

New situation :
Historical data > NEWSERVER01 (new ip address)
Real Time data > NEWREALTIME01 (new ip address)

It is now going to be sent to a EWFM server (workforce management...)

As i am new in the game, i have no idea where to find this path and to change it.

Is it simply in the soft CMS ... i doubt it ?
Is it on a FTP server or something ?
A CMS Specific server ?
A script ?

I am a bit lost, any help will help :-)

Regards,

Thaligor

CMS hist. data sent to server  [23/4/2008 14:46:02]

Hi Arman, check the hosts file (in Unix, type cat /etc/hosts - this will show you the IP addresses of your Historical and realtime servers. You will need to add new entries with the new names/IPs and delete the old ones, using vi commands. Also, you may need to check your application, if it addresses "VDSERVER01" anywhere, that will need to be changed to NEWSERVER01 as well. If you aren't familiar with vi commands, you can have Avaya/Business Partner do it.
