Where to find  [1/1/2007 06:50:19]

Hi,

I am new to the forum and so far I think it is A great tool for call center folks.

My question is this, is there a site where major market business will post the need for call center solutions whether is be incomming or outgoing? The reason I ask is because I am opening a new call center and would like to research and abtain other clients.

Thank you for you time

Not as far as I know  [2/1/2007 06:45:21]

By "solutions" I assume you mean outsourcers?

If so then I don't think there is anything. We're very strict on advertising here and see anyone posting "seats available" as breaking this rule. We wouldn't mind if people posted "campaign available" posts - although these would probably get inundated with replies.

Many other call centre discussion forums allow these kinds of posts, but they tend to get rather spammy and we think this is one of the reasons why we're the most popular CC discussion forum.

Perhaps there's a need for some kind of "market place" or "work exchange" forum. What does everyone think? Perhaps we'd need slightly different advertising rules in that forum...and possibly a charging model to cut out a large amount of the rubbish that would get posted.

Regards,
Darryl

Thank you for the reply. I was not trying to advertise if that was the impression I gave I am very sorry. I am trying to figure out how to find companies in search of outsourcing. Staffing and things like that i will take care of with my local temp agencies and the internet job sites.

Any luck?  [22/1/2007 17:40:17]

Hi,

I'm in the same position as yourself. New to the forum, and to Call Centre Management as well.

I'd be interested if you had any luck

I've just taken over a CC which needs a serious injection of new clients and/or workload, so am wondering how to approach this going forwards.

I am in the same boat.  [25/1/2007 09:08:05]

For new call centers its difficult to find businesses interested in outsourcing. Some how the outsourcing company assigns the task of outsourcing to mediators/ brokers which encourages fraudlent activities.

I am in on the same boat, trying to find a reliable source interested in outsourcing business, business in the true sense.

Hard work for outsourcers.  [25/1/2007 11:10:17]

Yes, often it does. However outsourcing companies do it because there are so many companies striving for work that as soon as word gets out that they have some available they get flooded. Using an agent abstracts them from this.

Do you think that perhaps there are too many call centres? I know of people who have recently moved into this market and found it much tougher than they expected. They see and hear success stories and think that they can do it too.

If you're struggling for business then you must ask yourself what makes you different from everyone else? If you were looking for a partner, what would make you pick your company above all the others?

Previously, this would have price. Now this isn't the case, as companies wishing to outsource are interested in quality, and the outsourcers themselves are in a position where they can't reduce margins any more.
