Siebel to Siebel  [5/8/2004 10:06:03]

Does anyone have experience of moving from S6 to S7? We currently use 9 in appoximately 25% of our CS operation - the rest is mf & mf GUI only. The plan is to extend Siebel to all main areas of CS ( I know a CRM should be accross all contact points but hye ho - little steps etc). As 6 is going non-supported we are looking at our options...

Has anyone tried running the 2 versions in parallel across a business? Do they talk to eachother ok? Added complication in that instead of buying plug-ins from Siebel our own code monkeys have tweaked it beyond normal recognition (while strangely failing to add any value to the functionality!).

We have many issue sin our Siebel implementation across the business, but any help with this particular one is much appreciated...

p.s. have many "blue sky" ideas - looking for sepcific experience / examples of this issue only... cheers!
