Steven,

Thanks.

I tried Googling but didn't think of Usenet (cue obligatory Doh!)

It's actually hitting my Mum about 2-3 times a day Mon-Fri.

Who did BT flog Genie to anyone.

As far as I'm concerned they've a badly misconfigured dialler
that deservs to be put out of it's misery.

As far as I'm concerned I have a hunting licence for this one.

Any suggestions anyone?

thanks

As far as I know ( I have a genie sim in my phone) Genie were not sold but just merged into MMO2.

Just a quick follow up,

Thank you to everybody who has responded both Steven within the
post (Which really got me aimed in the right direction) and to my E-Mail address (You know who you are, thanks).

I believe I have the culprits identified now and will make a quiet call in the morning and have a word with their dialler manager.

Whilst I appreciate this kind of topic is not really what CCV is about it's gratifying to know the level of knowledge out there and the speed of support in what was going from being inconvenient to downright bloody annoying.

Thanks again all.

TPS and Silent Call Guard  [10/8/2004 17:05:42]

Dear all,

Following on now a month down the line I'm
pleased to say the calls have stopped.

However I'm now getting 4-5 E-Mails a week about it!

Ah well hoisted by my own etc etc...

As the company in question had no problem helping stop the calls and
investigated the calls I have no intention of 'naming and shaming' as we're all in the same business
and as a telephony geek I accept their explanation.

However I do know they TPS their data regularly so anyone finding this thread
should do the two things below.

1. TPS your number

2. Silent Call register your number

This should stop it straight away.

Hope this helps
