You could probably try data access or some other such company to give you a good VOIP solution although I dont know how good the solution is for an Inbound center... Now, there is a lot who'll tell you that VOIP is a good Idea and the other who'd say that they swear by IPLC. Me, I'd go for the latter if you have an Inbound thing after checking the latency of the lines between loops or finding out from someone who does have the information about such latency. (Depending on where you have the center in the first place.)

You can definitely look at service providers like data access , reliance who offer usage based voice minutes. i have seen call centers working with both inbound and outbound working on such networks.

The Voice quality in VoIP may be of a slight concern, but if the service provider is committing you a latency, then it is OK. Infact Reliance is giving TDM based networks also.

Sandhu,

You could use an ideal solution in your circumstance: VoIP along with a ASP based Dialler/CRM/ACD etc. This would be available to you on a rental basis and the VoIP you may use a very simple gateway based solution.

We have setup this at a very low operational cost with small initial investment. This solution works like a dream !

If you need assistance mail me on dadi@hypersoftindia.com

C if you are setting up a call center in India & you have majority of Inbound & Out bound Voice traffic, then you better go for IPLC. For India UK you can get a very low latency of 150 MS. this would help you to get excelent quality of voice. 95% of Call centres in India uses IPLC model.

Hi!

I would not recommend choosing a technology just by its own virtue. One has to look at your long term business plan and objectives. It is one thing that you do not have the funds to deploy right away but it is another that if you set up one with low investment and low quality, will you get good business or will you be able to retain clients in future ?

One has to spend a good time on tangible and non-tangible issues from all angles. I can definitely prove that if the biz plan is sound and long term then IPLC with FR will be the winner on all fronts, specially when we talk inbound...but you may want to start small and then grow and in this phase slowly migrate and hence a migration plan is also a must...if you need more details get in touch...

Thanks & Regards,

Asit
