Forum theatre  [18/4/2004 19:21:08]

I am curious to see if forum theatre is used much in the market place?

Is anyone using this training method or does everyone on delegates to roleplay?

Very positive feedback from my delegates!  [13/8/2004 22:12:34]

I have just finished a run of training for our call centre staff. I have used the forum theatre approach this year for the first time.

This method allows delegates to highlight issues and discuss best practice without feeling uncomfortable as role plays can be. The focus is taken away from delegates allowing them to feel relaxed and discuss issues that often take a great deal of time to cover with role plays and discussions.

I certainly plan to continue to use this method in future training as it has provided a vast improvement on sessions where I previously used role plays.

Do tell more...  [14/8/2004 16:06:35]

Great,

Thanks Shirley,

I'm very interested in this as a training method, as a result I have more questions...sorry.

To what extent have you evaluated its effectiveness?

Aside from positive happy sheets what else does it deliver in terms of skills and knowledge above and beyond other delivery methods?

Did you use actors? How many?

Is it cost effective in comparison to say relying on delegates to role play?
