Symposium Server and Phantom Calls  [11/3/2004 18:02:54]

Hi,

We are currently using Symposium Server 4.2. Occasionally stray calls occur which never seem to be answered and are eventually abandoned. Calls might hang out there for up to 4 hours before they disappear. This has the effect of driving up Average Seconds Answered. Has anyone experienced this problem? If so what was your resolution?

Symposium  [11/3/2004 23:05:29]

I believe this may be a carriedover issue from the original Meridians, as I have experienced this on an older Meridian.

BT hold a patch (other suppliers are available) which should solve this, the main cause as far as I can remember is when the caller clears down at their end, the Meridian does not close the line as it should, switch end, which causes you phantom calls.

Hope this isof some help,

Simon

I have had similar   [12/3/2004 09:13:16]

Never had a call for that long, but have had a stray call for a couple of minutes. I have the luxury of a team with average answer times of about 3 seconds, so a call waiting for a couple of minutes really stands out.

I use the following site for symposium help

I find it invaluable and lots better than the suppliers.
