I thought that as we all work in or for call centres a good sudject would be a technology review.

I would be interested in types of Hardware or software used and your personal views on there performance. This should not be used a a key to start pitching people as if it is it will quickly become a lost sudject.

So what Technology does your call centre employ and how effective is it.

I guess to start the ball rolling the technology should be something like,

Multi Media
Workforce Management
VOIP systems
Hosted systems
Management information
IVR's
Predictive Dialers
Voice & Data switches

Technology at Call centres  [23/12/2003 10:51:02]

Hello Jason,

Glad you brought up this topic. I was wanting to initiate this subject myself sometime back when AVAYA announced closure of support fro their V6 and V7 systems. I wanted to see the reaction of all who are currently using the mentioned systems. I stopped myself because i did not want to sound like I am pitching for sales.

It will good to hear the existing technology and also the plans for expansion the call centres are thinking of.

Thanks once again for the topic.

This is an educational posting rather than a list of what you have, which is what happened last time. I am interested in what people think about what they have more than anything else.

We will all change companies a some stage in our lives and I suppose getting a heads up on other technology which we havent worked with would be useful.
