Well as a follow up.
Rule 1: Ask the customer what system they've got.
Rule 2: Ask again.
Rule 3: Then ask what they've really got.
Rule 4: See Rule 2
Ok,
BT have never sold a system called Opal, they're using
generic inbound/outbound lines on single numbers.
What they needed was a phone they can plug into an existing socket
and then monitor in realtime via a headset attached.
Is it an advert if I plug a company I was pointed at whove
given FANTASTIC Service. The lady there went through
manuals going back 20+ years looking for me.
Systems Telecoms
They seem to have bits going back years and a database of engineers
for a huge amout of Legacy / Old-tech stuff.
Thanks too to Jason who pointed me in their direction.
I have no connection with them apart from being a very surprised
and pleased customer (especially as they knew from the outset I
wasn't likely to buy anything).
