TCS 4.4 - Aspect eWFM 6.x  [24/11/2003 16:07:05]

Hi All,

We will shortly be going through the relatively huge upgrade in our resource planning / eWFM system - going from TCS 4.4.1.4 to Aspcet eWFM 6.2.x

Has anyone ever experienced an upgrade similar to this, and or has anyone recently implemented eWFM 6.x over an older solution - Im wondering what problems I should except to see occuring etc ?

Thanks,
Chris.

Aspect User's Groups  [24/11/2003 16:28:02]

Hi Chris,
Sorry WFM is the one Aspect product I don't use (yet). However, I would suggest you ask your sales person if there is an Aspect Users Group yet in your area. If not, perhaps you could be a sponsor and set up one. That would allow you to meet other users of WFM and share their experience on the upgrades.

Best of Luck!
Marianne

TCS v 4.4 v Aspect v6  [24/11/2003 16:55:04]

Hi Chris, were you aware that Aspect v6 is merely the updated version of TCS v 4.4? I may be telling you something you already know here, but Aspect should be able to import from TCS all of your previous data, so aside from getting to grips with the new functionalities and the Windows platform there should be relatively few problems.

huuuuuuuuuuuuuge !  [24/11/2003 18:48:17]

;-)

Hi guys, thanks for the comments... Marianne, I am kinda looking to do that, more of an RP user group than just an Aspect one... but we'll see how that pans out.

Travis, yes I'm aware that v6 is basically just an ugraded version of tcs 4.4 - but i would say it's more than that - it's like a whole new animal ! TCS doesn't even have a GUI (worrying that we are still using it) and the system architecture is all totally different - for example the DB is going to be moved from FoxPro to either SQL server or Oracle... infact, im pretty positive it's moving to Oracle (9i i think ?).

Was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on the implications of this, I for one have NO knowledge about these type of DB's. Also, things like how easy is eWFM to pick up ? that sort of stuff.

Thanks,
Chris.

Aspect Users Group  [24/11/2003 23:52:40]

The Aspect Users gorup here ended up being about 90% WFM customers and only 10% ACD/IVR. Which was sad for me, but if it holds true for you, then it really will only be a forecasting etc group (assuming that's what RP means?).

BTW: RP to me means role-playing, aka Dungeons and Dragons... :-)

Yeah pretty much the same thing!

Both only exist in the realms of Fantasy however a good
game of D&D is more likely to be believable!

Difference of Aspect to other Dialers  [25/11/2003 12:52:36]

Hi,
I do need information about Aspect cause we're trying to evaluate this product. Can you give me an idea what is unique about this product to other dialers available to the market right now. Who are the call centers using this product? Thanks.
