Voice over IP (VoIP) - any pointers???  [23/4/2001 16:10:46]

Hi.

I'm looking for Voice-Over-IP resources - can anyone point me in the direction of either a decent online 'VoIP for dummies'-style tutorial or a book?

We're looking to extend our feature list and would like to investigate VoIP more thoroughly.

Any pointers welcome,

Thank you,

Rob.

Rob

There's an interesting article about VoiP in the current issue of Network News if you can get hold of it.

Thanks Stuart.

I haven't been able to get a copy yet, but I'm sure I'll manage. Do they have a website, do you know?

Thanks !!!  [8/8/2001 09:26:15]

Not sure if this is the best place to post this, BUT I was conducting research into the Call Centre Market/Technology etc prior to the launch of our new co-browsing web application and after reading this topic I had a look at www.itpapers.com, as suggested by Stuart. I found some really good articles which have been of great assistance. Just proves how this forum really works THANKS to CCV and Stuart

Klik2Talk - this is a great VoiP product  [17/8/2001 14:16:34]

Robin

check out www.klik2talk.com.
I am from Amisys Technologies. We have developed Klik2Talk, which really deserves a second look if you want to research VoiP solutions for call centres. Klik2Talk has an unrivalled small first time-only download (100k), is firewall friendly, supports full secure co-browsing, and detects if the user PC has no soundcard, whereafter a live text chat session is launched. It integrates fully with any ACD, IVR or CTI system. We have already installed Klik2Talk systems for clients in the UK, France, Austria and the US.

let me know if you want more info

Good luck

Per

That's not a carrier nor a vendor, it's a portal for voice over IP and Voice over the Net.

We are a new TPV Company which has just set up in Ireland.
"TPV is an independent means of verifying a customer's consent and obtaining the customer information required to submit a change to CPS Service. It is conducted via the telephone, with a recording of the call serving as a record of the customer's consent.

VoIP Virtual Contact or Call Centre  [19/12/2003 15:39:09]

Dear All

Not sure about a VoIP for dummies but we have a telecom related jargon buster we have put together on our site http://www.telephone-central.co.uk which includes VoIP terminology.

In January 2004, Telephone Central will be launching a range of VoIP products and services, as we are already one of the UK's leading providers of network based (Hosted) Virtual PBX (VoIP & PSTN), Virtual Call Centre and IP Centrex services, as well as installing LCR VoIP gateways.

If you need any further information or have a specific problem to solve, let me know so we can provide the right information for you. T: 087000 57000
