Call Center Newsletter  [22/5/2003 13:13:44]

Is anybody aware of a trade magazine for the Call Centre Industry?

Nearly every other trade /profession has its own trade magazine but despite repeated requests to colleagues within the industry itself I am not aware of one.

There are no less than about 100 centres within 30 miles and I rely on other forms of media to run my business.

OK its not going to be a rip roaring read but I sure some employees/employers would be interested.

How about a monthly newsletter here for legislation issues, investment news, displacements, milestones, statistics etc.

Call Center Newsletters & Trade Press   [22/5/2003 14:41:53]

Hi Ian,
It really depends on the type of call centre companies your trying to keep up with, Dave is right the best two are Call Centre Focus & Call Centre Europe. My two areas of specialisation are call centres in the Outsourcing & Travel sectors. Outsourcing companies can be very protective of there information and dealings, so you will not have much luck keeping abreast of them, you can go to there websites and request copies of their news letters though. In Travel you can get a publication called Travel Weekly which is quite good, you can also keep up with a website called e-tid.com.

I would recommend getting a monthly couple of you area business magazine you should be able to get a free copy by emailing news@business550.com.

Have a great weekend

Newsletter?  [22/5/2003 14:45:53]

"How about a monthly newsletter here for legislation issues, investment news, displacements, milestones, statistics etc."

Good idea, and one we looked into - in fact, we were well placed to proceed with a fortnightly email newsletter but lack of articles stalled its launch and we then got caught up in other things. If people were willing to help shoulder the burden of providing interesting content (and not just duplicating what's on the community) then I'd be happy to resurrect the idea.

It would be a regular digest style - contributions would be sent to one email address and edited for release in the next digest, along with content from the community and other news. Would anyone care to help?

John et al..............

I don't mind writing and contributing articles.

However I'd prefer to be given a kind of generic title and then 2 weeks to write it as if I'm put on the spot I tend to get instant writers block. (Kind of like reverse Viagra, everything vanishes!)

I actually enjoy the writing part just need a little help with with direction
to bolt off into.

HTH
