Impressive that one question can last a year ... almost!

Seems like there is a big community for call center (or is centre??) professionals. I'm from Glasgow working out in India in New Delhi, so I feel that I have links with probably about 50% of the folk on the list. (if only that happened at parties!!)

I'm a call center trainer working around the region in the areas of soft skills. In the areas of voice & accent, cultural, telemarketing and service etc.

Been building up quite a database on call centres/centers over the last few years, so if you need to know anything from the Indian perspective please give me a buzz.

I believe I might just be the first member to sign in from CEE?. I live and work in Prague, (arrived here in November 2000) and like most UK ex-pats I met, fell in love with, and married a beautiful Czech girl.

Found this site today and must confess that I've spent the last three hours or so reading most of the posts on the site - however, far from being a wasted afternoon, I'm pleased to say the old addage "you learn something new every day" certainly applies here!....great site and look forward to contributing and learning from here on in.

It’s so nice to know you all. What a wonderful mix of folks from all over the planet.

To tell you about myself, I am from many places, but in this life, for the last few years staying near New Delhi, India. Though have been lucky to be at almost all over and worked closely with people of almost all cultures and backgrounds.

WE are supposed to have monsoon (and really heavy rains) starting end June. Right now we don’t have enough water in our shower either. (Well I am stretching the truth a bit, matter of fact a lot) Generally I take 2-3 showers a day in this whether.

The mets have predicted rains today again for the nth time. It is close to lunchtime and I will have to make do with a glass of water.

Well, I like to add spice in all this serious and business stuff. The reason is simple. I have read (and I read a lot) that humor makes you perform and related to people better. I do not know whether the same is true. But seeing people smile or laugh makes my day.

One more on this, do you know about Yoga, every morning at 5.30 I sit in the neighborhood park, in the end of our Yoga class and laugh my lungs (and tummy) out, we do it in groups also, sometime solo and at times two together. Now don’t try to find any meanings here. So if you happen to be awake at that time, laugh with me or drop by to join.
