You can set up a IP based call center in a matter of hours !! Today all you require is a regular office LAN with computers, full duplex switches network and a good Internet service provider.
Special hardware you may require, are a VoIP Gateway and telephnes with headsets. NO servers , No IPLC, NO MUX, no anything !! No big initial investment.
You can contract with a good ASP provider with a call center solution and.... viola!...... are on !!
We use an excellent IP based Predictive Dialler, with ACD and a CRM built in, along with all other great features included which is normally available on a half million dollar solution ! We find that our total running costs on this solution including the long distance calling costs to USA and Canada is between $1 and $2 and hour on VoIP. And it is scalable to any levels. You can start with just 8-10 seats and go up whenever you have the need.
Voice quality is excellent.
A word of caution . ensure you have the right solution. there are several quirks in using VoIP and ASP based models.
