pay rates  [16/6/2004 15:15:42]

We pay $10-15/hr. depending on experience. Also throw in incentives for each lead that results in a sale. No benefits. Pretty much the standard here in NY.

Cash strapped  [16/11/2004 04:43:08]

Customer service reps are usually paid between $16/hr - $19/hr, again thats pretty standard for Sydney.

My experience in inhouse contact centres (i.e. not BPO)

typical around £12,000 - £15,000 p/a for permenant staff (£6.50 - £8.50 p/h)

Salary's  [16/11/2004 12:31:05]

The Mitial Report on national call centre salary averages says,

Inbound, £11,225
Outbound, £11,809
Blended, £12,606
Linguist, £14,246
Team Leader, £16,113
Supervisor inbound/blended, £23,764
Supervisor outbound, £25,345

I suppose they are only averages but I would have to say in my experience they are considerably higher.

Also Paul Cho, exactly what did you mean when you wrote no benefits!

Salaries  [16/11/2004 13:12:39]

As someone active in recruitment I agree with Jason and the Mitial report add 5 grand and include variance for geographical location and company ethos.
Banks pay less, tech support/IT operations pay more.

I believe our callcenter goes anywhere from $8/hr to $20/hr depending on the skillset required. (the highest would be the multilingual tech support agents who speak 3 languages) And yes, they get benefits (insurance, 401K, etc...). The sales apps also pay commissions on sales, but that's hard to calculate.
