Hi everyone.
Now that we're approaching the 5000 member milestone, we've decided that the growth progress report contained in this topic, which I've been filling in faithfully for over two years, is now less relevant as the growth figures involved cease to reflect the true popularity of the site.
For example, the number of posts no longer reflects true usage as we now actively moderate and so for every few new posts that are added to the community, there may be a similar number which are removed. In addition, each month we trim a few old or out-dated topics which also reduces the apparent growth. Also, registered member counts, whilst useful as a rule-of-thumb indication of how many people have registered since the start of the community, do not reflect active usage, and no reliable metric exists to indicate how many of these members are currently active at a given point in time. So, recording month-on-month growth has gradually become of marginal interest to both the CallCentreVoice team and to the community membership at large.
The only true indication of success is, and will continue to be, the number of members who find the site useful and return to participate in growing this valuable and content-rich resource. Of course, it's very difficult to guage the size of this number and attempting to do so would use up valuable time which we'd rather spend developing the community.
As we approach the release of a new, revised CallCentreVoice site - containing all of your favourite content but in a more cosmetically attractive yet structured fashion - we would like to thank you all for sticking with this industry-leading site through thick and thin. It's by your continued contribution that we are able to attract new members yet our emphasis has changed to developing the member experience for those that we currently have - and if that means that we attract fewer members in future, then so be it, for our primary objective is in building on the foundations of our community - your community!
Best wishes from the admin team and myself,
